Title: Paddlers/Caller needed for Vernon & Victoria Post by: Bambi on July 20, 2008, 08:20:03 PM Fluid Motion, a Rec A team, is looking for a few more paddlers and a caller for this weekend's festival in Vernon (July 26 & 27).
Our team have booked accommodations (Fri. & Sat.) at the Village Green Hotel & Casino and we are trying to arrange for quad rooms so that the per person cost would be kept at a minimum (cost per room: approx. $280 based on quad occupancy for 2-days, tax included--split between occupants). We can also assist with arrangements to get you up there via carpooling (cost of gas shared). As this was not a sanctioned team event but a small group of us wanted to go using our team's name, there is a festival fee amount per paddler of $30 (caller's fee is $10). This fee will also provide you with food (i.e. sandwiches, muffins, cookies, fruits, etc.) and water during the two-days of races. If you are an experienced paddler or caller and would like to join us at one of the best beach festivals (race management by Water's Edge) I've ever been to, then please PM or email me. Thanks! P.S.
