Title: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: mandachan on March 26, 2008, 01:18:01 AM If so, do you have their contacts?
I am completely serious about this one. It saves money and it'll feel 'natural' so why not :) Hahaha, bet nobody saw this one coming when the forum stated "Non-dragonboat related topics" Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: Secret Weapon on March 26, 2008, 11:07:10 AM Alrighty then
What ever turns your crank honey. Perhaps Photog could do a photo shoot of you for paddler of the month! Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: mo on March 27, 2008, 12:04:15 AM can i do your make up for your shoot then? i can make parts appear larger or smaller...
Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: Luke on March 27, 2008, 01:33:05 AM probably get blown a skewer by all that wind, parts go flapping ,
pretty sure you'd have this already, but worth a try shooting these guys an e-mail http://www.vancouver-skydiving.bc.ca/contactus.html [email protected] Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: mandachan on March 27, 2008, 11:27:26 AM "flapping" luke?
...."flapping". anyway I called the place the next morning after posting this, asking about the drop zone, the fees, safety requirements etc. then "Oh I have another question, and I'm completely serious about this one. Is it free if you skydive naked?" the man, in a very normal tone, answered that it depends on my figure. I should go in for a quote o_O Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: Swordfish on March 27, 2008, 03:55:31 PM why is it that the good looking peeps never think of doing this? :?

Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: Bolero on March 29, 2008, 11:36:18 PM Luke's thinking about "flapping" being a problem - did he consider the possibility of chafing? This could be worse!
Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: Colossus on March 30, 2008, 10:42:33 AM Luke's thinking about "flapping" being a problem - did he consider the possibility of chafing? This could be worse! agreed. I don't know about you, but I don't like the thought of how my bare skin would feel after the chute caught the air and jerked me "upwards". The safety harnesses are designed for safety, not for comfort. (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/10-67-1/Image642.gif) that would be quite the chaffing, especially in the crotch region. Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: Luke on March 30, 2008, 03:32:59 PM a free-fall wedgie wouldn't feel as bad for a girl would it?
Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: Bolero on March 30, 2008, 06:39:36 PM hmmm.....after looking at that fine diagram sent in by Colossus, I would say that a "free-fall wedgie" would definitely hurt just as much for a girl, not to mention certain other crucial body parts. Even if it were free to skydive naked (which it should be!) it's probably not worth it! There are a lot of other activities that might be more fun while naked.

Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: mandachan on March 31, 2008, 01:50:01 AM My friend's friend has gone bungee jumping naked at Whistler. He also got a free membership to bungee jumping for that.
Maybe I'll try that.. but in the summer when parts don't shrink. Gotta look good for that camera... That picture does look quite painful in the chest region. I also thought of how cold it is 125,000 ft in the air... imagine floating for 8 minutes with someone strapped to your back while you get frostbite in places you never knew could get frostbite. Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: mo on March 31, 2008, 01:11:08 PM if you're real fug, they might pay you instead to put your clothes back on. score! :ashamed:
Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: paddling geek on March 31, 2008, 05:46:18 PM I wear a safety harnesses (something like that design) when working on one of the machines at work.
About two years ago I got a nice fabric burn.. Harnesses and jeans against each other.. So I don't wanna know what that harnesses and bare skin would do. Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: Bolero on March 31, 2008, 08:35:43 PM I wonder if there's naked dragon boat racing anywhere? The team-building possibilities could be quite unique.........or NOT!! Did you notice that on page one of this topic there's one ad for a skydive outfit and another for Canadian forces training? I wonder if they do naked skydiving as part of their training? Yup, what a way to scare of the enemy-a bunch of naked Canadians parachuting into your country. Then again, don't Canadian forces mostly do peace-keeping? Hmmm.......
Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: Luke on April 01, 2008, 06:40:19 PM go in battle naked, yeb, sounds like the under-funded Canadian military,
Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: madcap on April 03, 2008, 03:13:28 PM Sky diving naked? Imagine if you will, a farmer plowing his field, and down from the sky rains, instead of cats and dogs, beavers and trouser snakes. Can you imagine him explaining it to his family? Bungy jumping naked is free, but well edowed females should wear hockey masks to avoid putting their eyes out.
Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: mandachan on April 03, 2008, 08:44:15 PM Naked dragonboating, eh?
Banana fusion team cheer: we peel to the left, we peel to the right, we peel down the middle so you can all have a bite... Strangely fitting. Hell if anyone did a practice naked in this kind of Vancouver hailing/snowing/slushing weather I'd personally pay their fee for them. Paddles up! Title: Re: Is it free to skydive naked? Post by: mandachan on September 14, 2008, 11:46:46 PM So anyway.
I decided to take matters into my own hands, but not with skydiving (yet) I went to Whistler today with 6 friends (you are probably reading this right now) and even though it wasn't free, it was indeed very liberating. Wow, it takes a lot of nerve to jump off a bridge into a river of glacier water! No, I was not in my full birthday suit because that involves things that I do not want to be violated with in certain areas. It was a good experience nonetheless. The second jump was a lot more comfortable :D Many pictures and videos were taken and are now in their trusted hands. However I made this video that is PG13 so you guys can enjoy the thrill too. Please do not laugh at me (too hard) when you see me around. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=woS7Izv3Db8 |
