I was wondering if anyone knew about company's that make team jeryeys. We have ours for Sugoi but they're on the pricey side so we want to explore the options.

Where did your team get their jerseys made? And do you have the contact for that company?

We're getting ours ordered with Gaia, and they average around $30 a shirt. Pretty good material, with a selection of colors and styles of shirts!

Warning: they aren't that responsible when it comes to large orders. They messed ours up and they're having it reshipped in February, which is 2 weeks later than expected.

Most amazing jerseys out there. More pricey (paid about 70 each) but SO worth it. Not the normal jersey knit, but moisture wicking and light. Very light. You can get them also with or with out a zipper at the neck (if you prefer cleavage when you race  :lol:) They're based out of the Okanagon, but they ship out here. We used Jos and love the shirts. Not the best delivery in the world but great shirts :D

Pogue Sports also does team jerseys.

They have more then one supplier and have the ability to supply Dye Sublimation (What JOS does) as well as regular Silk Screening etc.

BOOOOOO to Gaia!  the National Team uniforms were Gaia, and after my first wash (I always do a first wash before wearing it on the water), the letters were peeling off both on the team canada stuff, and Gaia's own logos.  I'm sure they have different fits, bit if you get anything like our gear, its WAY too baggy/loose fitting for dragonboat.  Not bad for outrigger distance paddling, I guess, but definately not what you want in a dragon boat. 

What!!! Did the shirts have specific instructions on how to wash? Was it dri-fit material?

I'm not sure which fit you had, but I think the fit we chose was good for dragonboat. I'm new to Gaia so I dont know how well the print will stick after the salt water gets to it, then the washing/drying.

my team's race jerseys are made by regatta.  our practice shirts are made by patagonia. 

the regatta jerseys we use are very nice looking, but the patagonia practice shirts (capilene) are way more comfortable and dry much faster.

shouldn't it be "boo" to pogue? I believe they were the ones that supplied the custom gaia shirts, no? 

at any rate, whoever chose the cut for you guys was way off.  they were just the wrong shirts, period.  Gaia does have some excellent gear... i'd advise ppl if they're going with them to go down to their store and try stuff out first, as they have multiple styles and materials.  Having said that, they are pricey.  $30 a shirt is just hte starting point.  they changed a lot of their materials this past season tho, so for those who have had them in the past and weren't necessarily impressed, particularly by the flyweight, i'd say its worth another look.  I got a new flyweight shirt this past summer and its one of ht ebest technical shirts i've ever owned

Yeah $30 is definitely the lowest possible, with 2 logos. They are quite pricey, so I hope they turn out as good as I imagined. They ship the end of feb. I'll tell you how they are after washing  :D

Yes Pogue did supply the Gaia team Canada jerseys for the worlds, but DBC picked the style etc

ah... well then DBC won't get the old indiana jones-esque "you have chosen... wisely". 

Sourcing Team Jersey are very difficult as each paddler is different shape and size.  We at Pogue Sports work with many suppliers and over the years, there is always someone on a team that likes a different fit.  Some teams like them tight, and others like the baggy.  DBC has seniors and juniors, and they did their best to fit the average paddler.

TO make team uniform decisions easier for the team captains, we can provide multiple styles and options. 

Gaia does make great products, and yes, they did have a problem with some heat transfers.  We have also warrantied everyone that had a problem, or at least anyone that told us there was a problem.  If there are any outstanding issues, Pogue Sports does honor our suppliers and has always repaired any issues.  We do not make anything, but we deal with all issues to help the customers.

We will have our 2008 pricing and team packages available in two weeks with our website updated.

This is an old thread but I just have to say...

I've changed my opinion. Don't go with Gaia. They messed up our order more than 4 times (now we have tye-dyed uniforms...).

I can't believe a company with such recognition for goodquality clothes ... did this.

i'll post a photo of my gaia jersey tomorrow....    I don't know what kind of silk screening process that other companies do that they can't, but wow...
