Title: auto-xers?
Post by: Colossus on October 20, 2007, 01:07:38 AM
anyone here auto cross their car?  anyone want to accompany me either as a fellow newb or as a guiding hand?  if so, i'd be looking to do at least a couple of the UBC SCCA Slush Series events as i don't think i'll be around in the lower mainland much longer than the end of winter.
you can either reply here, PM me, or email me.
Thanks!

I've been racing for several years - it's lots of fun.  If you think the adrenaline you get at the beginning of a DB race was intense, get ready for a surprise

What it basically is a this: bring your car (any car as stock or modified as you want, as long as it's not a tall SUV or truck).  You run your car though a course laid out with pylons as quick as you can.  It's a run against the clock, there's nothing to hit, and is sanctioned by FIA Canada.  It's about the most fun you can have in a car with your clothes on :D

It looks something like this:
