Title: Paddle Mix Up in Vic Post by: Reaunin on September 13, 2007, 09:08:29 AM Hi all;
I realize that this is an extreme longshot, but did anyone get their Chinook Diablo mixed up in Victoria? Somewhere between my team's tent & the beer garden, my 50" got switched with a 48. Mine has some pretty distinct scratches on the company label side and the one I ended up with is newer. We (Fluid Motion) were at the far end of the paddler's village, across from Navy and to the left of the blow up doll! If you did grab it and want yours back , drop me a line. FM will be in Kelowna this weekend and San Fran the next, and I'd love to finish the season with my proper blade. Thanks! I believe we were in the tent next to you at Victoria (The Pirates), and I will ask my team tonight at practice if they found that they have mixed up their paddles. I know that a few of them have Chinook Diablo paddles and will check for you. We also will be in Kelowna this weekend, so you might want to come over and ask around. Well, I hope you survived Kelowna, we had a great time, although our Silver final race was cancelled. So we'll never know if we would have brought home any Bling. I asked around to all the Pirates and to the Myriad Mavericks regarding your Paddle. Unfortunately, no one had one that did not belong to them. Maybe someone else reading this will notice and be able to reconnect you to it. Lots of Luck in the search! I really appreciate you asking around on my behalf. Paddle has been found, the mix up had actually been with one of my teammates. Kelowna was a riot, as always. Sorry to hear that you guys were among those affected by the cancellations. We'll all have another go at it next year - once our livers regenerate! |
