Here is some more information on the paddle clinic:

This Clinic will break down the stroke and build the key structure of the stroke including entry, catch, pull through and recovery. It will provide the proper body positioning to facilitate the maximum pull, and maximum boat glide on the recovery. This clinic will provide participants with a strong foundation for stroke mechanics. The morning begins with a dry-land session with a warm up, demonstration on  stroke technique followed by an on-water session, which will include individual stroke development and drills. The water training will  conclude with a video taping session. The following portion continues with individual stroke correction through video analysis, as well as, a follow-up stoke correction session. You will gain a greater understanding of the basic fundamentals and take away some key pointers that will be sure to improve your stroke significantly. A question and answer period will follow with information on weight training, and a training guide so you can continue your growth.  If participants are interested in furthering there training further coaching and training though FCRCC will be offered at a possible discounted price.  Groups are welcome and a 5% discount for a group of 10 or more.  A 10% discount for a group of 20 or more.  Cheques will be payable to FCRCC and registration and payment can be made at a later date to be determined by the Civic Strike in Vancouver.

The team is back from the Worlds and we are eager to teach what we know and what we have learned.  FCRCC had members race in all categories except Premier Women's and in the Juniors. With racing in different classes club members won up to 9 medals!

The $50 you pay for the clinic can be put towards a Full Membership at FCRCC!

If you have a full membership you can sign up for continued coached sessions with Kamini Jain and Jackie Webber in small boats as well as all the other advantages full members have.

For more information on all FCRCC has to offer click on our website:

Also info on the new proposed lowered Dragon Boat team rates at FCRCC will be available soon.

wow that's a sweet deal.  counts towards your FCRCC membership.  you'll get your money's worth for sure!   :D
question does the full $50 credit count with the group discount?  this will probabaly give more incentives for teams to join this program, since we all have to renew our FCRCC membership soon.

Whatever you pay, goes as a credit at the club.  If you pay $40 after your discount that money goes toward membership. There is not a double discount. The full year membership is proposed to be $240 so it  is still a very good deal! You have the use of all the boats at the club for a whole year. It also gives people incentive to continue to get top coaching and to grow as paddlers.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the clinic!
A special thanks to all of our out of town guests who made the trip to see us.

I will be sending out a survey shortly, so we can improve the clinic for the future.  I look forward to reading everyone's comments, and hope to see some of you at the next clinic.

I would also like to thank Kamini, and the Team Canada members who came to help out.  I hope everyone enjoyed the clinic as much as we did hosting it.
