Title: FODB seeks to merge with team for Calgary (experienced individuals welcome too) Post by: rightarm on July 01, 2007, 11:27:04 AM Fresh Off The Dragon Boat is in need of ~10 paddlers (minimum 4 women) and a caller for Calgary (Aug 25/26); OR to merge with a team, and we have 4 women, 6 men, and a steers person currently committed.
Ideal situation is we can hook up with another team (or two) for this festival. We're also open to experienced individuals (at least 1 season under your belt, upper rec or comp). If any teams who planned to go are having problems rostering or were contemplating going but hadn't committed yet, please get in touch with me ASAP. A little more about Fresh off the Dragon Boat (aka FODB): FODB is a hard working team that practices at Dragonzone on False Creek in Vancouver; we have consistently placed in comp divisions at alcan in the past few seasons, and we like to paddle hard and party hard. Last year in Calgary we placed 4th overall, just losing out to some strong local crews. We also took silver in the mens division in a combined effort with Acme.
