Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: Aiya on May 28, 2007, 02:52:42 PM Who the heck are Masters of D'Zone. And where is Roli on the list? Masters of D'Zone is Roli Masters. On the adbf site: Masters of D'Zone Sponsor: Dragon Zone and The UPS Store Formerly known as Roli Canada, this team of seasoned and some newer paddlers aged 40+, compete nationally and internationally. Last year the team placed 2nd (500m)and 3rd(2000m)at the CCWCs in Toronto in Senior's division. This year our focus is the National Club Crew Championships in Calgary, next year, the CCWCs in Malaysia. Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: Backward Rowing on May 28, 2007, 04:50:04 PM Who the heck are Masters of D'Zone. You know when you're getting old when your team qualifies as a masters team. You know that young 'uns got nothing on you when a masters team blow them out of the water :) GO ROLI, er, MASTERS OF D'ZONE. Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: Luke on May 28, 2007, 09:54:51 PM Who the heck are Masters of D'Zone. And where is Roli on the list? hehe, sarcasm, hmmm.... DWW - FC A - DZ Master - FC B? All prepping for qualifiers, should ensure some tight races, although...what were the under 30s doing on D'Zone, during FC regatta? Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: paddleboy on May 29, 2007, 11:19:25 AM Who the heck are Masters of D'Zone. And where is Roli on the list? although...what were the under 30s doing on D'Zone, during FC regatta? They were on a test drive  Title: Masters of D'Zone? Post by: brainiac on May 29, 2007, 06:59:49 PM When the members of the former Roli team joined FCRCC, I was under the impression they did so to start a False Creek Masters team, so it seems rather odd to see they are calling themselves "Masters of D'Zone". Maybe the False Creek Men and Women will go after some of that sponsorship money too and call themselves the Men/Women of D'Zone? Or it could be the False Creek Masters of D'Zone, or the D'Zone Masters of False Creek, or the False D'Zone Masters of Creek? :)
Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: Special K on May 29, 2007, 07:23:47 PM Master's of the Creek...
You might have something there  The management members of the Master's team actively pursued many avenues for sponsorship and gratefully excepted the package offered by Dragon Zone. So the Master's can now be considered FCRCC and Dragon Zone. I doubt they'll offer to share their sponsorship with the men's/women's crew, nice try though  Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: PurpleMonkey on May 30, 2007, 11:14:18 AM anybody have the actual grid yet??
Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: ConfusedAsian on May 30, 2007, 11:38:09 AM I found it on my team website http://www.adbf.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=downloads.listbycat&catid=22
Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: sikamikanico on May 30, 2007, 11:06:44 PM 1. fcrcc team A
2. w3media.com 3. masters of the d'zone 4. fcrcc team B 5. dww 6. rgl united don't know enough about the teams in the other AM/PM sessions Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: rightarm on May 30, 2007, 11:12:52 PM who is w3media?
very interesting that dzone is sponsoring a team... has this happened before? if not, that's quite a precedent to be setting. Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: Steamrollers Moaner on May 30, 2007, 11:48:36 PM who is w3media? Formerly Without Warnings. One of the DWW boats Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: rb on May 31, 2007, 12:13:15 AM Quote 3. masters of the d'zone 4. fcrcc team B 5. dww 6. rgl united If you look at the grid these four are all in the second half, only 3 of which can make it to the A final. Based on this order RGL will be in B. From the first group FCRCC A and W3Media should make A. After that it will be whoever is next fastest. Either JDA, Sudden Impact, PR2, or VO2 will be third in the first group and then last spot in A. Just a prediction. Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: Secret Weapon on May 31, 2007, 08:27:27 AM 1. FCRCC A
2. Master's 3. w3media 4. FCRCC B Being the Master's crew beat w3media in the FCRCC regatta by almost 3 seconds I'm putting my money on them for 2nd place, we might see a photo finish for 3rd place. Where is the second Pac Reach team? Is this there A roster, B roster or a combo? Could be a wild card. Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: sikamikanico on May 31, 2007, 10:07:20 PM If you look at the grid these four are all in the second half, only 3 of which can make it to the A final. Well, it's only the regatta; one would hope people would post the results for Alcan. Title: Re: ADBF Regatta Post by: rb on June 06, 2007, 07:35:28 AM Quote Well, it's only the regatta; one would hope people would post the results for Alcan. The Alcan regatta has over 90 teams making it one of the biggest races. The results are normally posted faster than this, maybe there's some technical difficulties.
