The club's name will be changed to the False Creek Rowing Canoe Club, and one of the two Geminis will be converted to the new 10 man rowing shell format recently introduced by the ICF. This will allow the club to receive a grant from Sport Canada which will pay for the boat conversion and contribute $5,000 to the athletes' fund.
