Title: Fitdex formula
Post by: magicpaddler on February 01, 2007, 10:18:43 AM
Anybody familiar with the FITDEX formula.

What I have is 500m Time (sec.) = 113.898 – .143(2’ Chin Ups) + .039(2’ Bench Pull) – .094(2’ Bench Press) + .099(300m Swim)

Using this formula it one would score better by doing less Bench Pulls.   I would assume that more bench pulls would be better, meaning you are stronger, hence my confusion.

Can somebody explain the logic behind this please
