Dragon Boat West

Through the last few months there have been rumors running around about Pogue Sports Canoe Club being sold, closed, or not running.  All of these are UN true.  Pogue Sports Canoe Club is as strong as ever and has hired a full time administrator to over see team needs, requests and comments.

Our Outrigger fleet is growing with the addition of a new OC 1, and replacing the current OC 6 with New race boats.  The new Lightnings are the boats that are used for the world sprint championships and we will be the first club in Canada to have these.  We will be running sprint programs building up to the 2008 IVF world sprints in Sacramento.

Pogue Sports is also fully running their dragon boat program.  We have a access to a fleet of 4 boats.  One boats is stored on the water, the others are loaded safely with the new dollies.  Loading is easy and can be done with 4 people.  Our fees are low and equipment is newer and top quality.  We have boats that are used in all events across the country.

Pogue Sports Canoe Club is also running a high skills competitive Outrigger program with high level coaching and goals.  Any member of our comp OC program can join or create a Dragon Boat team out of Pogue Sports at no additional charges.

Updated information will be added to the website this week. We are fully open to Dragon Boat teams with all skill levels.
