So much easier to paddle and set yourself into a pace/rhythm than to steer those tubs. Thank goodness for the good weather.
TDBA (Tacoma) braved the border crossing for the upteenth time and included paddlers from Scaly Justice and Gung Haggis Fat Choy. Unfortunately some of our "runners" were rookies that were so excited they hopped out of the boats early into water over their heads. Guess that can be called "premature self-ejection." Everybody had good fun. It's great to welcome our Tacoma paddling friends and see friends on other teams. I can't believe after steering for most of the year due to a skiing accident to my shoulder, that I actually paddled 4 races (Mixed and Mens). 8km is the equivalent distance of 16 500m dragon boat races. That was crazy!
