For those of you in Vancouver who are not paddling in the VDBF this weekend, why not test your wits at Eye of the Dragon's 4th Annual Australian Quiz Night Fundraiser. Event: Eye of the Dragon Australian Quiz Night Venue: Moose's Down Under Restaurant Address: 830 W. Pender, between Howe and Hornby, a few blocks from Granville Skytrain Time: Doors open at 6:00 p.m.. Quiz starts at 7:30 p.m. Tix: $12 (available at Mon. & Wed. evening practices at Dragon Zone at 6:45 p.m.) Email: or email me at [email protected] to have tickets reserved at door. This coming Saturday night August 19th Eye of the Dragon is holding our annual Australian Quiz night fundraiser. It takes place at Moose's Down Under . It's loads of fun and quite the cultural experience. We make teams of six and collaborate to answer four rounds of 10 questions, questions like "what country consumes the most ketchup per capita?" or "what detergent keeps clothes clean in Uzbekistan, Barf, Puke, or Spew?". It's kind of like Jeopardy in a pub atmosphere. All this is interspersed with impromptu mini theatre sports contest such as the odd Crocodile Hunter impersonation. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., quiz starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 each. This includes a sumptuous appetizer buffet (salad, zucchini sticks, chicken strips, meatballs, wings, 5 types of pizza, deep fried wonton...). There will also be some awesome door prizes and a raffle for a variety of gift baskets.
