Title: Re: alcan race grid out! Post by: Colossus on June 12, 2006, 11:32:30 PM i only see Saturday's grid...
Title: Re: alcan race grid out! Post by: Swordfish on June 12, 2006, 11:43:56 PM Sunday's races are based on points accumulated during Saturday's races. Basically win both your races on Saturday and you'll be in the competitive semis on Sunday.

Title: Re: alcan race grid out! Post by: rb on June 13, 2006, 01:42:12 PM I agree, it looks tougher to break the top 9 in A than in B or C.
DWW2, PR2, and Scotia will have an easy time to win their heat and be into Comp semis, but put them in Pool A and they'd have to earn it. Title: Re: alcan race grid out! Post by: tiger on June 13, 2006, 02:10:55 PM Some teams look like they got the easier draw than others and I would say Pool A is the easiest to predict, even though it initially looks stacked. If you look the winners will never meet on Saturday so there are clearly those teams that will win and they are racing teams that if they don;t win they deserve not to be in Comp. If I look at each Pool this is what I see:
Pool A - May look like it is top heavy but the second tier down looks weaker compared to the other pools so all the top teams should win both heats, the only real unknown is Dragon Warriors and DWW (Dragon Warriors beat DWW last year in San Fran are they bringing their A team or not), looks like Swordfish (depending on San Fran Dagron Warriers are) got the biggest break out of all the "top" teams, Pool B - I think this Pool is tougher to pick winners cause the 1st and 2nd teams I think are pretty close, Roli, GD and PR should all make it through with 2 wins, the other ones could be interesting. Pool C - the only for certains are FCRCC 2 and Pemberton, the other ones look close either in the first race or the second race. My prediction is that there will be 12 teams that win both races and then a number that will win one and second/third in another. With that in mind there are 15 spots open for Comp semis. Let the racing begin :D Title: Re: alcan race grid out! Post by: Lethal Weapon on June 13, 2006, 02:58:21 PM Yep
Pool A is top heavy which makes life interesting for the Little "fishes" in the pool (Ruckus as well) SF DW are not a pushover as they have combined 3 teams in to 2 for Alcan so I doubt they are bringing any extra "wood" in the boat As for Pool A being "easier" its going to be a dog fight all the way IMHO Pool C is the lightest divsion witn only no real stong contenders in aside from the seeded teams (How did Scotia get seeded over JDA?) All in all this will be a tough test for all teams. Nice to see if you add a number to a recognized team you auotmatically get seeded.....(we should have called ourselves FCRCC 3.....) Title: Re: alcan race grid out! Post by: Luke on June 13, 2006, 04:54:21 PM Does anyone know the grid and schedule on Sunday?
Since Juniors aren't placed in pools, is there a scheduled time for their semis and finals? Title: Re: alcan race grid out! Post by: tiny tina on June 16, 2006, 12:17:28 AM how come i can't find the race grid???????? :(
