Wednesday Night Race Dates
March 15 ,22, 29 & April 5, 12, 19

The series is limited to sixteen teams.  So get ready for explosive starts, surging transitions and 250m dashes as your team gets an early start on the racing season.

Early Bird: $520.00+gst (until Jan 31)
Regular: $560.00+gst (as of Feb 1)
Early bird Combo: $480.00+gst (for 250m Dash registrants - until Jan 31)

Register for both The Series and The Dash prior to January 31 and save up to $140!!

Unfortunately, I haven't heard what the field consists of. My guess is that a lot of the teams want to get the feeling of who's taking part.

Just to draw some flames to warm us up for the winter...
Some local teams I would like to see in this series
the new, revived, Acme
FODB
Phat Phish
RGL United
Dragonhearts Team Magnum
Just Dragon Along
TD Lightning
Roli
Subaru?

I only chose local teams since I don't see any teams that don't practice in the creek, coming during a weeknight participating.

Title: Incentives

Other than pride in beating another team, what are the incentives for participating? I couldn't find this on the website. Seems pretty expensive to pay to duel with other teams in practice.

These are organized races, not practices.

$520+gst for 18 races seems okay to me.  That's a bit over $30 per race. I'd like to see my team participate if the boats aren't all comp or top level rec teams.

Also, this looks like a first small step in the direction of having true "sport racing", which I think has been sorely lacking in this area.

aww, poor baby.  hehehe, maybe that's why the FCRCC men are so fast.  With each stroke, they hit each other in the back, making each paddler paddle harder!

would you happen to know of FCRCC would participate in this event?

I hope they do not use the whole creek and affect other teams which are trying to practice on those evenings.!   :? Sounds like somethng reserved for the more competative teams anyways

not really...  its meant as a fun thing for everyone/anyone to get in a bit more racing.  kinda like going go-karting with a bunch of people every now and then.  some people will be better drivers than others, just like some teams will be faster than others.  its for fun more than competition
