David Usher, international recording artist and former front man for the Canadian mega group “Moist”, will headline the Kelowna Dragon Boat Festival’s opening night concert on Friday, September 16th in Waterfront Park. David Usher is a prolific songwriter and music fans will fondly recall such widely played hits as “Black Black Heart” and “Alone in the Universe”. With four albums under his belt as a solo artist, David is currently touring to promote his latest album “If God Had Curves”. Born in Oxford, England, David Usher grew up on B.C.’s West Coast and now calls New York City home. David Usher is one of Canada’s premiere songwriters and performers. His lifetime album sales with Moist and solo are now in excess of 1.2 million units in Canada. The new album, If God Had Curves was released April 26th, 2005. There are only 2000 tickets available at this price and it is based on first come first served. (Currently there are already over 3500 paddlers registered).
