Title: looking for Dragon decals for my paddle Post by: aznbuttahfly on August 01, 2005, 09:38:14 PM Too bad you can't hit up the Richmond/Chinatown nightmarket! That's the cheapest place to get 'em haha other than that, there're any car accessory stores but I don't know what's on the Island...and I've also seen them being sold at festivals!
Good luck with your decal hunt ;) Title: looking for Dragon decals for my paddle Post by: ~@ngel~ on August 01, 2005, 10:01:01 PM Canadian Tire has car decals - some are dragons - the could work for your paddle.

Title: Decals Post by: nakedpaddler on August 02, 2005, 07:11:06 AM Hey Cheryl,
I would phone up some of the auto detailing businesses in Nanaimo and see if they do decals and if there is a picture of something that you are interested in then see if they have a machine that scans what you would like and they can print it off for you. If the auto places in Nanaimo do not do it, call the sign shops. I know there is a place in Campell River that does this, but that might be too far of a drive for you. I think that this would be the best place to try to get something original. Good Luck! Title: looking for Dragon decals for my paddle Post by: woodsman on August 02, 2005, 09:12:29 AM In Victoria.....there is a small shop in the Bay Centre by the Government St. entrance that has some nifty decals (temporary tattoos) of dragons (also a stand in the Mayfair mall, I think). Island Breaststrokers also sell temporary tattoos. Any of these can be applied to a paddle then laquered over for permanence.
Title: Make your own Post by: seaboy on August 02, 2005, 09:23:44 AM Any store that sells laser printer supplies will sell sticky acetate, a clear laser printable decal. You can find a picture on the internet or draw your own and print it on any laser printer. That way you can include your team's name, your name and phone number etc. You should spray it with art fixative or put another layer of acetate over it so it doesn't rub off. The whole thing should cost a few bucks and you could make matching ones for your whole team.
Title: Thanks guys--I'll try all the above and get what I want-- Post by: selltile on August 02, 2005, 03:26:56 PM red headed paddler surrounded by a dragon?--maybe too many bosum tearing books in my past
