Due to the Sea Vancouver Festival having been denied a 300' dock permit on the north side of Science World, DZ has been informed that all the activities that were to be held at those docks Thurs July 7 - Sun July 10 will now be held out of DZ. This is defintely creating some serious dock space issues and DZ now needs to be unexpectedly closed on Thursday and Friday evening to help accommodate all the other events. Besides the DB and (hopefully War Canoe races) on the weekend, there will be kayak and sailing demos, a kayak adventure type of race, and the plywood cup held from the DZ docks. Dock fingers should be installed at some point this week to try and accommodate all these events and the DB races. Teams that are affected by the unexpected Thursday and Friday closure: Please view the attached summer schedule and email me to rebook your practice slot. I will do what I can to accommodate your request. Thanks for your understanding as I absolutely didn't want for this affect DZ teams.
