Title: CAN MY GLOVES GO IN THE WASHING MACHINE? Post by: sakuracoloratura on April 15, 2005, 06:44:57 PM I'm new at all this dragonboating stuff and I need to wash my gloves but can they go in the washing machine?
thanks! Title: CAN MY GLOVES GO IN THE WASHING MACHINE? Post by: Angus on April 15, 2005, 08:59:07 PM I guess that depends on your gloves. I put my MEC neoprene gloves w/fake leather palms through the wash fairly regularly. I use liquid detergent in the gentle cycle along with all my other synthetic paddling stuff. Sometimes I toss in a bit of oxyclean if it gets too dirty/stinky. Make sure that any velcro is firmly closed or else it will stick to and damage everything else in the wash!

If you are using a glove with real/fake leather, I'd suggest switching to another set without. Mec does make some great (and cheap) gloves you can throw in the wash as much as you want. |
