I'm new at all this dragonboating stuff and I need to wash my gloves but can they go in the washing machine?

I guess that depends on your gloves. I put my MEC neoprene gloves w/fake leather palms through the wash fairly regularly. I use liquid detergent in the gentle cycle along with all my other synthetic paddling stuff. Sometimes I toss in a bit of oxyclean if it gets too dirty/stinky. Make sure that any velcro is firmly closed or else it will stick to and damage everything else in the wash!

Wash away but I wouldn't put them in the dryer, tends to wear them out and fade them.  Good advice on the velcro part, been there done that.

anything you use that gets soaked in that FC water, you'll want to hose out after every practice.  It'll get nasty quick.

If you are using a glove with real/fake leather, I'd suggest switching to another set without.  Mec does make some great (and cheap) gloves you can throw in the wash as much as you want.
