Title: How does one huli at the dock?
Post by: Guido on August 26, 2004, 07:36:07 AM
Is anyone able to answer this question for me?
I also would like to know if anyone can tell me....what the temperature of the water is in Alder Bay.

Thanks for your assistance to this matter.

Simple... you experiment with your seating and on how much the boat permits you to lean to the right..

Basically I saw Dominic flying the ama and was wondering how much I would be able to lean to the right... was it a smart thing to do? Definately not.. but you know me... I tend to learn things the hard way.

Anyways.. I need practice with my huli's anyways.  Moaner can vouch that my huli drill last week was probably the ugliest thing at FCRCC since spandex pants. I think I could've done much better though... first of all... I let my paddle get away from me... I was a little more comfortable in the water though... but was so tired I barely had enough energy to get the boat over and hell man... I had to take a break just to get enough energy to get back into the boat... oh well... At least I entertained everyone that was watching..

Temperature-wise... it was ok.. wasn't cold and wasn't warm...

Yea... I think Phil and Chris were cringing when they watched him flop around in Alder Bay

Try to "butter" your blade more the next time you do it.
