Title: Waxing the seat?? Post by: nakano on April 04, 2004, 06:13:46 PM Don't want to get off topic, but in regards to waxing, I was wondering if it was against the rules to wax your seat? I have seen people do it during race day.
I was checking the rule book, but didn't find anything in regards to that. Title: Waxing the seat?? Post by: Steamrollers Moaner on April 04, 2004, 07:00:39 PM whoever that person is... he/she must have serious case of a$$ chaffing if he/she uses leg drive

Post by: Guido on April 04, 2004, 10:12:00 PM The logic behind it is so your butt doesn't slide on your seat......most times it is the clothing you wear. It doesn't always grip. The wax is used to prevent your butt from sliding so you can get the hips moving and getting the leg drive working.
If you're constantly moving in your seat...you don't have the ability to set the hips to drive the leg and get the power through the pull. come on....simple concept you guys. Title: Waxing the seat?? Post by: nakano on April 04, 2004, 10:46:04 PM That's a good point! I have never had any problems with sliding off my seat. Guess bracing matters, as well as the type of clothing you wear for the race.
So does that mean it is perfectly legal to wax your seat before a race? Since it is not in the rule book. |
